COSD Academic Advising
First-year and sophomore students are advised by a member of the Harris College Academic Resource Center (HARC).
Junior and senior students are assigned to a Communication Sciences & Disorders (COSD) faculty member whom they will meet for academic advising.
Although advising is only mandatory in the first four semesters, Harris College of Nursing & Health Sciences and the Davies School of COSD strongly encourage students to meet with an academic advisor at least once per semester. This will ensure students are enrolling in the appropriate courses, aware of career development opportunities and career options, and have someone who can help them resolve any degree plan issues, should they arise.
Students must meet with their academic advisor during the advising period(s) preceding the enrollment of the upcoming semester. To confirm who your designated advisor is, please contact Janet Matzen at j.matzen@tcu.edu
The undergraduate advisor is Karen Hennington and may be contacted at k.hennington@tcu.edu
Minors in COSD
The academic advisor for minors in COSD is Tracy Burger at t.burger@tcu.edu
