Chair’s Message

Our undergraduate enrollment in the Department of Kinesiology keeps increasing every year and has more than doubled over the past 15 years.  This is a testament to the interest in human movement, the importance of our field of study, and the quality of our faculty. For those who are still learning what kinesiology is all about, a brief description would entail studying human movement from “every angle.”

We examine the anatomical, biomechanical, physiological, psychological, and neuromuscular aspects of human movement. Kinesiology has broad applications in health, education, clinical, and sport settings.

Come to our offices and speak with me or any of our faculty to see if this is a field of study to which you could dedicate the next chapter of your life! We’re on the west side of the Recreation Center building in the Rickel Academic Wing, Room 172.
