Nutrition, Physical Activity & Chronic Disease
Our MS in Kinesiology with an emphasis in nutrition, physical activity and chronic diseaseĀ is designed for students who are interested in understanding the role of diet and exercise in cardiovascular risk factors and the impact of eating behaviors and the environment on energy balance.
The course work will provide students with a strong background in topics including the role of nutrition and physical activity in chronic disease, the etiology, consequences, and treatment of obesity, exercise physiology, research methods and exercise metabolism and endocrinology. Students who graduate with this emphasis will be prepared for positions in research laboratories and doctoral studies.
