Sport Psychology

Our MS in Kinesiology with an emphasis in sport psychology is designed for students who are interested in understanding the link between psychological, behavioral, and physiological factors affecting participation and performance in athletic activity.

The course work will provide students a strong background in topics including the psychological antecedents and consequences of sport performance, psychological skills interventions, applications of sport psychology, exercise physiology, motor behavior, and research methods. Students completing this area of emphasis would be prepared for careers in a variety of performance-based professions and/or doctoral studies.
