Movement Asymmetries in Multidirectional Gait Initiation

The purpose of this study is to investigate the anticipatory postural adjustment characteristics and lower extremity joint kinematics in multidirectional gait initiation. This study aims to normalize movement asymmetry in a daily activity and directs attentions to unilateral motions in rehabilitation and performance training, especially for individuals with diseases that cause movement imbalances (e.g., strokes, Parkinson’s).
