Professor of Professional Practice and Director of the Athletic Training Program, Dr. Stephanie Jevas has been recognized as a Distinguished Fellow of the National Academies of Practice (NAP) in Athletic Training. Distinguished Fellows are elected by their peers from multiple health professions to join the only interprofessional group of healthcare practitioners and scholars dedicated to supporting affordable, accessible, coordinated quality healthcare for all. NAP firmly believes that close collaboration and coordination of different healthcare professions, aligned through a common vision, can advocate for patients and model excellence in interprofessional and preventive care. Athletic Training is the newest academy to join the National Academies of Practice. Dr. Jevas, along with the other Founding Distinguished Fellows and Professional Members will be inducted into NAP and the Athletic Training Academy at this year’s annual Forum where NAP will celebrate its 40th anniversary.
Dr. Jevas joined TCU in 2012 and has been a certified athletic trainer since 1995. In addition to her work at TCU, Dr. Jevas continues to practice clinically as an athletic trainer.
