*Previous data was cohort data based on the assumption that students who did not graduate with their original cohort were attrited. Current attrition data is based on the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational programs (COA) current definition:

Attrition is defined as a measure of students no longer enrolled in the program against the number enrolled as reported on the COA Annual Report. Students no longer enrolled are those who have withdrawn from the program at some point during the reporting year or students who are withdrawn from the program by the program or institution. Students on approved leaves of absence or held back for academic or other reasons are not considered part of the program’s attrition until or unless they withdraw from the program or are withdrawn by the program or institution. (Accreditation Policies and Procedures, Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs, May 2014)
