TCU's DNAP program is accredited and allows graduates to take the National Certifying Examination (NCE) by the National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA). To practice as a nurse anesthetist, additional professional licensure or other recognition is required by the state board of nursing where you intend to practice.

Completing the program and passing the NCE fulfills the educational conditions to practice as a Nurse Anesthetist in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. However, please be aware that state licensure requirements might change, and states could have additional conditions beyond the educational ones mentioned.

Before you start the program, it's essential to contact the licensing agency in the state where you plan to practice. Ask them for information and guidance to confirm that TCU's nurse anesthesia program fulfills all the requirements for practicing as a nurse anesthetist in that state.
