MSN Clinical Nurse Leader
The Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) is an “advanced generalist” in the clinical microsystem charged with supervising the care of a group of patients, evaluating their risks and outcomes, and coordinating their care with other health care professionals. The focus of this role is evidence-based practice, safety, quality, risk reduction, and cost containment. As an advanced generalist, the CNL has the opportunity to work with all patient populations in all practice settings. Graduates will be eligible for national certification through the Commission on Nurse Certification (CNC).
One year of full-time experience or its equivalent as a registered nurse is preferred

- Summer and spring term admission
- 33 hours total (27 hrs didactic, two hours practicum, four hours residency)
- Two years full-time or three years part-time
- Clinical practicum experiences with qualified preceptors take place close to home when possible
