Scholarships

W.W. Ward Endowment Fund

The W. W. Ward Endowment Fund is available to full-time nursing students who have been recommended by the dean of Harris College. Applicants must not be employed by a health care organization that is not affiliated with Harris Methodist Health System. A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required. Applications are also available in the TCU Financial Aid Office. The deadline for the spring semester is November 15, and the deadline for the fall semester is July 15.

 

TCU Air Force ROTC Nursing

Three- and four-year merit-based scholarships are available through TCU Air Force ROTC, and are awarded to the most outstanding applicants. In addition to paying all or part of tuition, the scholarship includes a monthly stipend and funds for books. Qualified recipients will be considered by the Financial Aid Office for an on-campus room and board grant. Awards may not be combined with academic scholarships or TCU-funded grants. Students will be judged against the applicant pool; meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee an award.

 

TCU Army ROTC Nursing

TCU Army ROTC awards two-, three- and four-year full-tuition, merit-based scholarships to the most outstanding applicants. In addition to paying full tuition, the scholarship offers a stipend and funds for books. Qualified recipients will be considered by the Financial Aid Office for an on campus room and board grant. Awards cannot be combined with academic scholarships or grants funded by TCU. Students will be judged against the applicant pool; meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee an award.

 

Myrtle E. and Earl E. Walker Fellowship in Nursing Leadership

Established in 2018, the Myrtle E. and Earl E. Walker Fellowship in Nursing Leadership includes a tuition award as well as a stipend for each academic year that the recipient is enrolled in the Doctor of Nursing Practice degree program.   The stipend can be used for books, travel to conferences and other expenses.  Selected by the Director of Graduate Nursing and Associate Dean for Nursing & Nurse Anesthesia, recipients must be engaged in study towards the completion of a graduate degree in nursing and possess a GPA of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale in their graduate course work. It is strongly preferred that the recipient demonstrates a commitment to becoming a nursing leader with a dedication to providing leadership in the profession and practice of nursing.
