TEAS Exam

The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS), a four-hour, computer-administered exam required for application to TCU’s nursing program, is an assessment of a student’s academic preparedness for the nursing program. Direct admit students must take the TEAS exam prior to beginning nursing coursework. Transfer students must complete the TEAS exam prior to admission.

The exam includes four sections: Reading, Math, Science, and English & Language Usage. TCU’s nursing program recommends that students obtain an Academic Preparedness Level of Proficient, Advanced, or Exemplary on the TEAS exam

TEAS testing is only available remotely using ATI Remote Online Proctoring. Students will need to create an account at ATI before they can register. Students will need to select Texas Christian University as their institution.

It is highly recommended that students review the ATI TEAS Study Guide before taking the test
