TCU's Social Work Department Chair, Nada Elias-Lambert, collaborated with the Burnett School of Medicine faculty to host an impactful three-hour Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) training session for third-year medical students. The nurse educator shortage in Texas is a pressing issue that threatens the future of health care in the state. However, programs like TCU’s DNP-Ph.D. bridge offer a solution by preparing advanced practice nurses to transition into educator and leadership roles.

This annual event brings together students from Harris College and pre-health majors in TCU’s College of Science & Engineering, providing them with an opportunity to network, build community and leave empowered as future health care professionals.

TCU has been supporting first-generation college students through its TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) since 1997. Some of Harris College’s First-Gen students share encouragement and advice to others navigating their First-Gen journey.
