Limb Loss & Difference Lab
Evaluating care through clinical research.
The Limb Loss and Difference Lab is part of the Department of Kinesiology at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas.
We study the perspectives, biomechanics, and musculoskeletal health of people with limb loss (amputation) and difference (congenital) to improve clinical care.
Perspectives
We explore ethics, perceptions of technology, and preferences using surveys, interviews, and focus groups.
Gait Biomechanics
We explore the gait asymmetry and fall risk using clinical outcome measure scores and wearable sensors.
Lower-Limb Anatomy
We explore musculoskeletal health using anatomical imaging, ImageJ, 3D Slicer, and histology.
