DNP-to-Ph.D. in Nursing Bridge Program
Preparing DNP-educated nurses as expert researchers who generate and advance nursing science.
Deadline to apply is February 1, 2025
There exists a well-documented significant shortage of nurses who are prepared with a research doctorate. Additionally, schools of nursing are experiencing a significant shortage of faculty nationwide who are prepared with research doctorates, limiting student capacity at a time when the need for professional registered nurses has only increased.
The DNP-to-Ph.D. in Nursing bridge program is for the nurse who has completed the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree and seeks the skills and competencies to integrate nursing knowledge with that of other health care disciplines to create, conduct and generate new knowledge.
Our hybrid (on-campus and online) program is designed to integrate the practice doctorate curriculum with that of the research doctorate.
