Dr. Aesha John, an associate professor in social work, has been selected as a 2026-2027 Fulbright U.S. Scholar for India to continue her research and represent Texas Christian University across the globe.

Dr. D. Lynn Jackson, PhD, LCSW, ACSW, FNAP, an Emeritus Professor of Professional Practice in Social Work, will be recognized on the national stage during the 2026 NASW National Conference in Washington D.C. this summer as the National Association of Social Wokers Foundation honor her as the 2025 NASW Social Work Pioneer.

Dr. Jackson has made groundbreaking contributions to the social work practice, education and advocacy, particulary focused on advancing access to care and equity for underserved populations. Dr. Jackson's career spans more than four decades, reflecting her commitment to social justice, leadership and impact to the profession.
