In ‘Nontoxic dry-cleaning: Avoid cancer-causing chemicals while the EPA ban goes into effect,’ Galbadage explained the threat these chemicals have on the state of public health and safety. 

"Studies show PERC emissions contaminate indoor air and groundwater, disproportionately affecting vulnerable populations living near dry-cleaning facilities," Galbadage said. "Phasing out PERC addresses these health inequities."
